The Call-and-response community is a co-facilitated space, where both facilitator and community have critical roles.
-
For us, late is a myth. You are never, ever late to a Call-and-response session. Think of the space like a well-run community center; folks come in and out over the course of the session to get what they need and folks leave the space when they need to. Our goal is a seamless ebb and flow. Whenever you arrive, you are right on time.

Officially, two hours. However, we hold the space open for as long as needed. We regularly have participants who want to continue the conversation after our “soft close” - we love this!
-
We begin with an “Ease In” period that provides a deliberate transition from the outside world into our liberated container. This is meant to allow an opportunity for deep reflection and centering before we formally begin the session.
We then engage with an original Freedom Framework that provides participants with a practical process by which to resist the impact of harmful ideologies.
Throughout the session, participants can choose to engage with the large group, with a partner, or independently - whichever best supports them in that moment.
We conclude with a “soft close” that allows for re-centering before we exit the “container” that we have co-created.
